Annual AwardsMembers taking part in club events are eligible for a award based on the number of rides completed or the distances covered. Gold MedalFor successfully completing standard or Audax rides at not less than 350, 200 and 150 kms plus one other ride of any distance, all rides to be Group events. Silver MedalFor successfully completing standard or Audax rides at not less than 200 and 150 kms plus one other ride of any distance, all rides to be Group events. Bronze MedalFor successfully completing standard or Audax rides at not less than 150 kms plus two other ride of any distance, all rides to be Group events. Parker-Walker CupThe Group member who completes the highest total distance in Audax or official standard rides each year. Claims to be supported by brevet cards and certificates. Group Special AwardThe Group member who does the most for the Group as voted by the committee. Cec Ducker CupThe lady member who does the most for the Group as voted by the committee.B.S.A. CupThe Group 'Best All Rounder' on points awarded for qualifying Group events. Points are awarded for participating in club rides and additional points are awarded for organising and leading rides. Further points are awarded for long distance rides. Tommy Thompson CupThe junior 'Best All Rounder' on points as above. A junior being under 18 years on the 1st January of the current year. Woodcock Rose bowlThe person who does the most meritorious ride in the veterans 100 miles in 12 hours standard ride as agreed by a majority of those taking part. Norma Johnson CupThe Lady with the most rides on a Sunday. If the Group does not organise events of the appropriate distance, then other bona fide events will be accepted for the appropriate distance. The medal scheme is available to all fully paid up members of the Cyclists' Touring Club. Certificates are also issued to all who complete a ride. |
